In the first practice, on April 30, 2010, the fastest were Jamie McMurray, Clint Bowyer, Joey Logano, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and Kyle Busch.In the second practice, Kyle Busch, David Reutimann, Joey Logano, Juan Pablo Montoya, and Jeff Gordon were the fastest. During qualifying, Kyle Busch won the pole position, David Reutimann, Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, and Ryan Newman also will start in the top-five.[4] There were three drivers who failed to qualify, and they were Michael McDowell, Max Papis, and Dave Blaney
